A Little About Cara
Cara Lichty, DOMP, RMT
Cara Lichty is a dedicated and compassionate Manual Osteopathic Practitioner and Registered Massage Therapist with over five years of professional experience in the field of manual therapy. With a robust foundation built on six years of intensive education and training, Cara graduated top of her class and has honed her expertise to provide exceptional care and support to her clients ever since.
After years of observing how stress and anxiety physically manifest in the body, Cara has made it her mission to educate patients on how to manage these tensions. Fascinated by the body’s natural response to stress and its cascading effects, she focuses on optimizing the autonomic nervous system, which serves as a defense mechanism against perceived threats. By regulating the sympathetic (fight/flight) and parasympathetic (rest/digest) networks, Cara helps ensure these systems function properly, promoting a state of homeostasis. This balanced state is essential for healing and addressing various dysfunctions, allowing clients to experience improved overall well-being.
A Soft Spot for Women's Health
Driven by personal experiences with hormonal imbalances, Cara is dedicated to supporting women through various life stages, including puberty, pre/post-natal care, perimenopause, and menopause. She addresses a range of issues such as digestive problems and lymphatic drainage challenges with tailored, empathetic care. Cara began her journey as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), where she gained a deep understanding of correcting musculoskeletal dysfunctions due to postural imbalances. This foundation remains central to her practice, as she works diligently to alleviate chronic pain and enhance her clients’ quality of life.
